How the rules apply
The product selected at checkout determines the account size, evaluation family, target, trailing drawdown, contract limit, minimum trading days, and consistency rule. All figures are simulated. Commissions and fees shown by the provider may affect net results. The applicable rule version is recorded with the order.
Vault EOD Challenge
| Account | Target | Max loss | Contracts | Minimum | Consistency |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,500 | $1,000 | 2 minis / 20 micros | 3 trading days | None |
| $50,000 | $3,000 | $2,000 | 5 minis / 50 micros | 3 trading days | None |
| $100,000 | $6,000 | $3,000 | 6 minis / 60 micros | 3 trading days | None |
| $150,000 | $9,000 | $4,500 | 10 minis / 100 micros | 3 trading days | None |
The trailing minimum is recalculated from the end-of-day high-water balance and stops trailing when it reaches the starting balance. Normal intraday movement does not raise the floor during that session. A daily loss limit is optional; when selected, reaching it pauses trading until the next session and does not replace the maximum-loss rule.
Vault Intraday Challenge
| Account | Target | Max loss | Contracts | Minimum | Consistency |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,500 | $1,000 | 2 minis / 20 micros | 2 trading days | 50% |
| $50,000 | $3,000 | $2,000 | 5 minis / 50 micros | 2 trading days | 50% |
| $100,000 | $6,000 | $3,000 | 6 minis / 60 micros | 2 trading days | 50% |
| $150,000 | $9,000 | $4,500 | 10 minis / 100 micros | 2 trading days | 50% |
The trailing minimum follows the intraday high-water equity, including realized and unrealized results. A daily loss limit is optional; when selected, reaching it pauses trading until the next session and does not replace the maximum-loss rule. The best profitable day must not exceed 50% of total net profit at pass review. A consistency miss extends the evaluation until compliant; it does not by itself breach the account.
Prohibited trading practices
- No hedging or coordinated offsetting positions across your own accounts, another trader's accounts, another firm, or correlated products when intended to neutralize risk or manipulate program outcomes.
- No coordinated group trading, shared or simultaneous entries, account mirroring, trade copying, pooled decision-making, rotating control, or one person directing multiple traders or accounts.
- No algorithmic or bot trading, expert advisers, unattended scripts, trade copiers, or API-driven order placement. Orders must be entered and managed by the assigned individual trader.
- No exploiting stale or incorrect prices, delayed feeds, unrealistic fills, platform defects, order-routing behavior, or technical conditions that do not represent ordinary market execution.
- No credential or account sharing, identity misrepresentation, deceptive activity, payment fraud, or conduct designed to create an artificial performance record.
Trading-day and breach calculations
A trading day is counted when qualifying simulated trade activity is recorded for the applicable session. Reaching or crossing the trailing minimum, exceeding the maximum position, or violating another clearly published rule may breach the account. Closing or rejected orders can affect when provider records finalize.
Pass review and simulated funded upgrade
An evaluation becomes eligible for review after the target, minimum-day, consistency, and account-status requirements are satisfied. Black Vault verifies provider records and identity before upgrade. A successful review may create an eligible simulated funded account; it does not create a customer brokerage account or guarantee a reward.
| Account | Initial drawdown | Buffer target | Lock trigger | Permanent floor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,000 | $1,100 | $26,100 | $25,100 |
| $50,000 | $2,000 | $2,100 | $52,100 | $50,100 |
| $100,000 | $3,000 | $3,100 | $103,100 | $100,100 |
| $150,000 | $4,500 | $4,600 | $154,600 | $150,100 |
The intraday trailing drawdown stops trailing at the size-specific lock trigger and then holds the permanent floor. Standard simulated funded payout eligibility requires five profitable trading days per cycle, has no payout consistency rule, uses a 90% trader / 10% firm split, and requires at least a $500 payout request.
Funded-stage 30% risk rule
A trader may not risk more than 30% of the simulated funded account's current buffer on one trade, including scale-ins that form the same trade. This rule is disclosed during evaluation for advance notice but does not apply to evaluation trading. A funded-stage violation causes denial of the affected payout request; it is not an automatic hard breach of the evaluation or simulated funded account.
Resets
An eligible reset restores the selected account to its disclosed starting balance and rule state. It does not erase historical audit records or change the trader’s durable identity. Evaluation reset campaign prices are $110 / $160 / $240 / $320 for EOD and $80 / $110 / $170 / $230 for Intraday at 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K. Simulated funded reset campaign prices are $250 / $300 / $400 / $500 for the same sizes and are limited to three resets per account lineage. Regular prices and the exact current campaign total are shown before purchase. Once applied, a reset is subject to the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Published rules control
Only rules presented in the product description, checkout acceptance, this page, or the authenticated dashboard for the account may determine status. Black Vault will not use an unpublished restriction as a hidden basis for failure. Questions should be sent to [email protected] before trading.
